Day 313: Third Times a Charge – Hawk Attack

For the third day in a row I have been privileged to get close and watch a rough-legged hawk hunting by the Amish Furniture House on Old Superior Street near McQuade Harbor. Today’s pic … think it might be the same bird each day!

  1. I live right down the road from the Amish Furniture Store. I’ve had the privilege of watching this bird for close to two weeks now. He’s been hunting in my back yard and hanging out on the power pole at the end of my driveway. My daughter gives me daily reports as she sees it in the mornings while on her school bus. Thank you to Dave Carman, my colleague, for helping me identify this species. He knew exactly what it was. I feel very blessed living where I do. My family and I get to experience all kinds of wonderful things in this neighborhood.
