Riding chip seal in the rain,
cycling the road was my bane.

The tire went quite flat;
twice in 15 minutes, drat!

Where or where is the sun?
bicycle touring should be more fun!

This tale of woe is not funny,
but at least I’m riding with my honey.

Our motel is in view;
showers and food for us two.

But our journey will go on;
looking for Purple Cows on the lawn!
