Hi everyone, I have decided to try something new for my birding educational efforts, free online seminars. I will be using a service named Zoom (learn more). For my first seminar, the topic will be finding Snowy Owls in Duluth / Superior this winter. (talk screenshots and maps)
If this experiment is successful, I will host additional seminars, and maybe some general Q & A sessions without a specific topic.

It was almost two years ago today that I rescued Silver. Thus, the topic for this online seminar seems a good choice.
I have seen a few over the years down here in East Bethel. I live across from the 5000 acre Cedar Creek Refuge with lots of different birds.
Cant wait Richard! Looking forward to next Wed night.
If this online seminar goes well, I will certainly schedule some additional talks. In terms of having an “outdoor element” in the future, I’m not certain I want to take that approach. Scheduling birding outings is much more complex from worrying about weather to bird sightings. I don’t think I really want to tackle that beast.
Oh, would that I could attend, Richard. Not back from family trip until 11/13. How about another one later on in winter with maybe an outdoor component? Beautiful picture of you two. Must have been so moving to hold Silver. Wounded? Maimed? Rehabbed? Released?
One more comment … not sure where your family vacation is taking you, but if brought along a tablet or PC, the beauty of an online seminar is one may particpate from anywhere!
