I watched a Crow attack a Bald Eagle out on Park Point this morning. I zoomed in, and pressed the shutter using burst mode a crazy number of times … hoping one angle would capture the intensity of the altercation. This is my favorite!
I suspect the crow has a nest near by because it kept up the attack for over ten minutes, and then when the eagle finally flew away but came back … it started up the attack once more.
Attack #1
Agree wholeheartedly – we need your wonderful posts now more than ever in these tense times of unrest.
Thanks Pat! A lot of hard work and habitat knowledge goes into capturing any given image. In addition I am lucky to be a morning person. Wildlife photography opportunities are always much more numerous at sunrise. Here in northern Minnesota that means 5:15 today, and it will still get earlier for the next three weeks. In fact I was grateful for thunderstorms the past two mornings at sunrise. I got to sleep in! However, on stormy mornings like today, I always check the weather radar to time when I need to get cracking. This morning I was able to work on stuff around the house till 7:30 am … then it was off to the races.
i am in awe of your photos, rich. thank you for being out there and sharing
