Winter has arrived in the Northland. This frozen waterfall known as The Deeps is 200 yards from the end of my driveway. The stonework for the bridge was built by the Civilian Conservation Corp in the 1930’s! I took this image with my cell phone during today’s hike.

Rich – I just want you to know I got your books, and they are delightful! I know my great-granddaughter will love them. I wondered whether you have them at the International Owl Center in Houston, MN. Karla Bloem is the executive director there. They have a nice gift shop and I should think your books would do well there.
