Molly and I leave early tomorrow for a little over two weeks in Costa Rica, with our first 3 nights at an off the grid eco lodge up in the rain forest. We follow that up by spending time on the Pacific at Las Catalinas. For the first time in my life I have hired local guides … twice for 1/2 day each time. Learn more about where we will be. I have a free PDF guide book I authored and photographed about the area.

This is a great time to see the male resplendent quetzales. If you make it to Monteverde, David Madrigal is the best guide I have ever used in any location. https://www.instagram.com/natural_moments_costarica/. I hope you see (and hear) some three-wattled bell birds also! Looking forward to your future posts from one of my favorite countries!
Such vibrant colors on our southern friends! Have a fantastic and adventure-filled time!
Have a wonderful time you two. Safe travels and planet of life birds.
