Biking & Birding the Ozark Mountains

The Ozark Mountains are gorgeous in their spring time splendor. My wife and I are over 1,100+ miles into a self supported bicycle tour. The scenery along the roadsides has been fantastic, and the birds sing to us every morning as we head out on tour around 7 am. I hope you enjoy a few photos of both my birding, and my bicycling.

Ozark Mountains Feathered Friends

For almost 900 miles of bicycling I have wanted to photograph the Scissor-Tailed Flycatcher. Finally yesterday morning a male struck a nice pose. The males do wonderful acrobatics when they go a courting.

Molly and I are loving the Ozarks. The countryside is lush, green and beautiful. You may read my full trip diary via this link.
